Position purpose The Shift Manager is responsible for the safe, efficient and disciplined operation of the factory during his/her shift, ensuring that production targets, quality standards, manpower requirements and delivery schedules are achieved. Main responsibilities Manage and supervise all employees working during the shift, Allocate employees to production stations according to production requirements and skills, Ensure that the production plan is achieved in terms of quantity, quality and timing, Monitor production performance and immediately address delays, stoppages and inefficiencies, Ensure compliance with company procedures, work instructions and safety regulations, Monitor product quality and react immediately to defects or deviations, Coordinate with maintenance when machines or equipment break down, Ensure proper use of raw materials, components and production equipment, Control attendance, punctuality, breaks and employee discipline, Train and motivate employees and maintain good communication within the shift, Ensure proper handover of information to the next shift, Report production results, downtime, quality problems, manpower issues and other important events to the Production/Operations Manager, Maintain a clean, organized and safe working environment, Identify opportunities to improve productivity, reduce waste and increase efficiency. Ideal candidate 3–5+ years of experience in manufacturing, preferably in a structured production environment, Previous experience supervising a production team, Strong leadership and employee-management skills, Ability to make decisions quickly under production pressure, Good understanding of production processes and machinery, Basic knowledge of quality and health & safety requirements, Good computer skills, particularly Excel and production reporting systems, English is a must, especially for communication with management and international colleagues, Ability to work in shifts and remain hands-on when necessary.
